Salad With Ganesh / I Should’ve Torn Out Your Eyes
– “There’s Always One Bastard Burning Junk Somewhere Off in the Distance” / “Navigating the Extremities of the Mushroom Circle with a Certain Amount of Trepidation” (Shack in the Barley Productions, shitbar122) – £3.00 (not including shipping)

A) There’s Always One Bastard Burning Junk Somewhere Off in the Distance (17:18)

I Should’ve Torn Out Your Eyes:

B) Navigating the Extremities of the Mushroom Circle with a Certain Amount of Trepidation (18:36)

Music for vaguely sinister demolition work and illicit council estate fires…for swaying grass, crumbling earth and stray musket balls…for scruffy grey wastelands, neglected and forlorn…for fields ripe with intangible malevolence. Another fine split for your shelves…it’ll scratch that urban/pastoral itch like nothing else!!

White C40 cassette in a clear case with full colour artwork and tape labels, plus an insert.

The snow had long since melted around that cold, grim warehouse…unbridled chaos in every cranny, my visions grainy and gore-sodden…some crap wagon took me back there- the ticking and picking made me buckle and submit…I shivered in existential gloom, swung creaky doors in a meat-strewn basement…I stepped out into that afternoon while UFOs screamed in heat…my brain bubbled with colour and fire…with bloodied stone and insect platters…hooray for listlessness, hooray for madness!!

Blue transparent C30 cassette in a clear case with full colour artwork and tape labels, plus an insert.

2005-centric fun for all the family!! Remember that prehistoric river safari?? I thought not…self-deprecation and public speaking…preening and pouting with a white Strat…in awe and in the raw in porches and bunkers. As for the other bits…well, once I tried to re-record “Who Was I Kidding?”…I got 7 songs in before giving up…here be 5 of them, plus the intended centrepiece of the ultimate stalled Gonk Folly (“Fungally Seductive”- arrggh!!) to wrap things up. I gave the song a fresh lick of bass and re-did some of the REALLY ROUGH STUFF during a PRETTY SAD TIME, but it’s all good…

Transparent green glitter C40 cassette in a clear case with full colour artwork, plus an insert.

Jamie Azzopardi vs The Golden Gonk
– “Filthy Tape Soup 2000” (Shack in the Barley Productions, shitbar125) – £3.00 (not including shipping)

A1) A Dipstick Penetrates in F# (Robot Vibrations) (15:12)
A2) Oozing Malevolent Dairy (17:18)
A3) Big (Fucking) Hitter (Say It) (11:03)
B1) Plagiaristic Amputations in E (21:23)
B2) Plagiaristic Amputations in D (22:14)

Another insanely huge serving of Filthy Tape Soup for ye- piping hot and packed with lumpy bits of unknown origin. 2000 was an odd bird…very much a game o’ two halves…a lot of the source sounds came from the first…all suspect tuning and wardrobe boredom…blues turned doomy…noise got noisier…pre-everything, really…longest night nightmares and four stringed solace…pitter-patterings on the bed and screams in the street…not yet windswept, not yet transfixed…laughing and sniffling, not bricked in or gated…not yet beached, not yet sunken…plunking and pining, not a chance in heaven…

Black C90 cassette in a clear case with full colour artwork and tape labels, plus an insert.

A) Sad Vampires in a Castle Being Bombed by Red Aliens (13:58)
B) Briefly, Fiona (9:47)

Dreams and ideals- rarely surplus to requirements…the hidey-hole was bare, all things were quite silent…we wept as they dropped, all secretions in white…hot palms on cold marble, thank goodness for ‘the system’…filming and drooling, charming and ‘self-harming’…lingering into the afternoon, gone by the morning…dreams and ideals- amped and cranked, with just a minute to spare…

Red transparent C30 cassette in a clear case with full colour artwork and tape labels, plus an insert.

I cared not for the appliances- my devotion lay elsewhere…I felt not the threat…I spent too much money…the night was so muggy…the evening so lonely…my cooking inedible…I walked in the cemetery- it dripped with drizzle…I muted the telly- I lusted at ‘random’…I don’t know why, but I always remember…the sounds surround and tangle with time…

Available again after almost 8 years in the wilderness!! And together at last!! Yes, these ‘sister’ albums- originally released simultaneously in autumn 2005, G’n’R stylee- are back with a clunk and a whir (first time on cassette for either, folks!!) and are sounding…err, the same as they did last time around!! Just a bit hissier (first time on cass…oh no- wait, I already told you that!!). OK, I admit I was sorely tempted to remix *certain* parts of these albums (you know the ones!!) for this reissue, but in the end I figured there are enough fucking mixes of ’em out there as it is (don’t ask!!), so I didn’t want to clog up my hard drive with any more…err, what I mean is I *suppose* the ‘official’ mixes ye heard on the original Shack in t’Barley CD-Rs and the Woven Wheat Whispers MP3 versions have enough youthful charm and spirit about them to still get by…I’m not really selling this shit to you, am I?! Why not just buy a copy anyway…please!!

1 x purple C50 cassette and 1 x black C50 cassette in a clear double case with full colour artwork and tape labels, plus an insert.

Following weeks of hill climbing and pudding boiling, there they were- draped and dripping, but far too quiet…all things need a soundtrack- just ask the llama!! Within days I had the means…the drive…the spunk…the vision…then NIHIL…sand clogged up most everything- sand in yer soup, sand in yer sundae, sand up yer fucking skirts…vacuum packed and put on ice ’til Bigfoot…I bounced with fake tits to the finish…I snapped ‘tween spectrums…the shape may have shifted, but the heart remained pure…

Limited edition box set- contains 3 x white C30 cassettes, 1 x yellow C10 cassette and a CD-R, plus inserts and full colour artwork in an oversize case.
